Support Staff Workshop
This 3-7 hour workshop introduces non-teaching staff
(e.g. paraprofessionals, recess monitors, cafeteria
staff) to key concepts, approaches and vocabulary that
students are learning in Open Circle. It also explores
specific ways support staff can use Open Circle in their
own work and in coordination with grade-level teachers.
FEE: $1,200-$2,000
Overview Presentation
This 1-2 hour presentation provides a basic introduction
to the Open Circle approach, practices and vocabulary.
It can be tailored to address staff members, parents or
families in your school community.
FEE: $400-$800
Advanced Training Workshop
This 2-7 hour customized workshop will deepen Open
Circle teachers’ facilitation skills, address challenges,
and increase motivation and commitment to social and
emotional learning. Topics are customized to your school’s
needs and may include:
• Exploring successes and challenges in using Open Circle
• Fostering community among adults in your school
FEE: $600 -$2,000
Literature Connections Workshop
This 1-3 hour workshop explores how children’s literature
can be used to enrich and extend Open Circle. Participants
will receive an extensive bibliography of children’s literature
with ideas for book-related activities that support Open
Circle concepts.
FEE: $600-$2,000
Customized Consulting
We also provide customized consulting services to
address particular needs of individual schools, including:
• Tailoring Open Circle to specific school populations
• Setting new goals for Open Circle at your school
• Integrating Open Circle with school initiatives
• Planning, implementing and assessing solutions for improved
social interactions during lunch and recess
