Anita joined the Open Circle staff in 2006 as a trainer and coach.  In that same year, she retired from a 37-year teaching career in the Randolph Public Schools, where she was a teacher of grades 4-6.  During her career in Randolph, she served on the board of Massachusetts Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (MASCD), participated as a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), and led many system-wide initiatives, including Family Math and Open Circle.  Anita was first trained in the Open Circle Core Program in 1992 and began working as a teacher-trainer and consultant two years later. She led a district-based training team from 2000-2006 that included training and consulting to Randolph teachers and presenting information to parent groups, the school committee and the superintendents association.  Anita is passionate about the importance of social-emotional learning and the positive impact Open Circle has had on the lives of students, teachers and schools.
